Born in Saint-Eustache on March 14, 1989, Kevin Lacroix is a race car driver who has always made his hometown, and his country, shine in all the series he has participated in. A proven driver, Kevin Lacroix has evolved in karting, then in several Formula series before establishing himself as one of the title contenders in NASCAR Pinty’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting in karting in 1996, he has accumulated strong experience in motorsports from a young age. In 2001, in addition to his participation in the Florida Winter Tour, Lacroix was crowned Vice-Champion of the Canadian District Championship Qu\u00e9bec ICA Junior series, while he won the title of Champion in the sister series, the Canadian District Championship Qu\u00e9bec East ICA Junior with PSL Racing Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2002, Lacroix captured both Canadian District Championship titles, UCA Junior and East ICA Junior. Then the following year, he participated in the Stars of Karting Championship in 80cc Shifter Junior and won the final of the WKA Manufacturer’s Cup in 80cc Shifter Junior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2004 was a pivotal year for Lacroix, who was participating in his last karting season before jumping into Formula BMW. He competed in 8 races in Stars of Karting National ICC Super Pro and finished in 3rd place, then made a last appearance in the Florida Winter Tour. That same year, he headed to the old continent for the Italian Open Masters ICA, where he competed in an event with the CRG team, with Formula 1 driver Nico H\u00fclkenberg as a teammate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kevin Lacoix’s single-seater career began in 2005, which was an action-packed season in which the title was decided in the final race. During his first season in a Formula, the Saint-Eustache driver made a name for himself by earning the Vice-Champion title with the help of the Ontario team AIM Autosport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving to Star Mazda in 2006 with John Walko Racing, history repeated itself for the Canadian driver who won Vice-Champion that year. In 2007 and 2008, Lacroix moved to Formula Atlantic, first with Brooks Associate Racing, then with Walker Racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a break from motorsports for a few years, Lacroix returned to his passion with a thirst for victory more present than ever. He participated in a few races of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series in 2015 and set a record that no other driver could match. Kevin is the only driver to have claimed two wins in his first four races in the Canadian NASCAR series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, after a disappointing first NASCAR race at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP), Lacroix proved himself by winning the event at Circuit ICAR. Then, a few weeks later, he won the most prestigious race on the calendar: the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivi\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2016, he has been competing in the NASCAR Pinty’s series full time. He drives the #74 car of Team Bumper to Bumper, which is owned by his father Sylvain Lacroix, and of which veteran Don Thompson is the crew chief. The team is a real family effort as Dany Lacroix, Kevin’s brother, is also part of the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017 and 2019, Lacroix was crowned Vice-Champion of the NASCAR Pinty’s series. Each time, it is a title that was decided at the end of the season, after thrilling on-track battles with his main competitors. In addition to motorsports, Lacroix is now a resident of Mirabel, and he and Dany are responsible for the family business Lacroix Tuning as well as some branches of Bumper to Bumper. He is also the father of a young boy, Mathys, whom you will probably see on the tracks very soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
