The <strong>NASCAR Pinty&#8217;s<\/strong> driver started the 300-lap race from the pole position but finished 7th after a difficult race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The practice was quite convincing as he scored the best time on the quarter-mile oval. The qualifying session was rained out, and therefore, it was the best practice session times that were used to set the grid of the <strong>LUXXUR 300<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the green flag went down and the race started, Lacroix was not able to keep the lead for a long time. \u201c We did not have the car to win,\u201d said the driver. \u201cOur competitors were faster, but still, we expected to grab a podium or finish in the Top 5. I had bad luck during the whole race.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt seems as if every time I overtook a competitor, there was a caution flag that followed, and during the restarts, I was always on the outside line, which made it difficult for me pass other cars,\u201d explained Lacroix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The driver of car <strong>#74 Bumper to Bumper \/ Total, Gates \/ PFC Brakes<\/strong> could have hoped for a better position at the end of the race as he was on the inside line during a restart. However, the race was interrupted after 275 laps due to heavy rain. Once again, Andrew Ranger, his main rival in the championship, won this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This 7th position allows Lacroix to remain in 2nd place in the standings, but he is now 18 points behind the leader, and 12 points ahead of Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We had a lot of difficulties in Alberta,&#8221; said Lacroix. \u201cThe field was very strong, and I fought with my car all race long. We will have to change this situation as we enter the second half of the season.
