Saint-Eustache, August 7, 2019 – The 50 th edition of the prestigious Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières edition will be this weekend. Kevin Lacroix and the Bumper to Bumper Team are heading to this legendary street course for the 8 th meeting of the 2019 NASCAR Pinty’s season.
The victory at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières is certainly coveted by all the drivers, including Kevin Lacroix. “To win in front of Quebec fans, on this circuit that once hosted such legendary drivers as Gilles Villeneuve or James Hunt, is always meaningful for me,” said Kevin.
The driver from Saint-Eustache is thrilled to once again receive hundreds of Bumper to Bumper guests at the event. “We are going to host 300 people in the suites and the stands. As in previous years, there will be a sea of red t-shirts on the site! “
In addition to the activities surrounding the Grand Prix, ultimately, it is the show on the track that will draw attention. In the last editions of this event, the driver of # 74 Bumper to Bumper / Total, Gates / PFC Brakes have always been in the center stage of the on-track action. “Last year, we were the quickest in practice and third in qualifying,” said the driver. “Then during the race, we were dominant, but we made a mistake entering the pits for nothing,” he adds.
He goes on to say, “I’m aiming for a third GP3R win. It is always very satisfying to win on this track, in front of the Quebec crowd. The points of the victory would help me catch up with the leader in the championship. “
Indeed, Lacroix is currently second in the standings, 18 points behind Andrew Ranger. “This gap is not negligible, but it can be caught up. The street circuit of Trois-Rivières is a layout that I master, and the walls do not scare me, on the contrary, it always gives a good show!” Concludes Lacroix.
The NASCAR Pinty’s race will be broadcast live on RDS2 this Sunday, August 11th at 2 pm.
