LACROIX IN THE HUNT FOR A FIRST VICTORY IN ANTIGONISH

Saint-Eustache, August 14, 2019 – The Bumper to Bumper team is heading to Nova Scotia for Saturday’s Bumper to Bumper 300 which will be held at the Riverside International Speedway in Antigonish.

Kevin Lacroix’s main partner sponsors this 300-lap event. Once again hundreds of guests will be on site, proudly wearing the team’s red jersey, just like last weekend in Trois-Rivières.

“We are going to visit one of the Bumper to Bumper stores before the race, and then we will welcome guests to the track,” explains Lacroix. “It’s always a pleasure to interact with our fans because they are very passionate about the sport.”

The Antigonish oval has always been kind to Kevin Lacroix and the #74 Bumper to Bumper / Total / PFC Brakes car. Although he never won on this track, he reached the second step of the podium in 2017 after leading the entire race, but lost the lead during the last lap. In 2018, it was a poor pit stop strategy that prevented the driver from finishing in the Top 5.

“I think Antigonish is the most beautiful oval in Canada,” says Lacroix. “It’s a fun race in all aspects- on the track and in the paddocks. “

“We have a perfect car on this track, and we hope for a first win there this weekend! “

The Saint-Eustache native is still in second place in the championship standings. There was a significant gap in the points between the leader and him, but thanks to Andrew Ranger’s 8 th place at the GP3R, Lacroix was able to catch up and is now only 14 points away from his main rival.
